Opelousas Alumni Partners with local Church for St. Jude Sunday of Hope

On Sunday, April 23, 2017, the Opelousas Alumni Chapter partnered with Community Chapel Church of God in Christ, in Opelousas, LA, to raise funds for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The program, St. Jude Sunday of Hope, is a signature program of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. This year, brothers publicized their fundraising efforts via KLAF in Lafayette, and sought the assistance of Rev. Frank Ford, pastor of Community Chapel, for the St. Jude Sunday of Hope program.

Several brothers attended the church service, and generous contributions were provided by members of the Community Chapel congregation. Brothers were also given the opportunity to fellowship with the family of young Brennan Ford, who has benefited from the services provided by St. Jude. The chapter thanks the Community Chapel family for assisting in this effort, and we hope to continue the partnership in the future.
