Greetings Brothers,

 

It is with a tremendous sense of pride and humility that I welcome you to our new website.  I am excited to assume the helm of leadership for the Opelousas Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and I hope that the new fraternal year has given you a renewed commitment to Kappa.  For those brothers seeking a home, we hope that you will join us as we work to build upon the foundation of achievement established by our ten revered founders.

 

The Opelousas Alumni Chapter seeks to engage more brothers and is in the unique position to work with community stakeholders in the area it serves. While we are a social fraternity, we also work to achieve our targets and serve those who would most benefit from our signature Guide Right programs.  More specifically, the Opelousas Alumni Chapter has maintained the Richard Crockett Scholarship Fund, a source of financial support for students seeking to further their education at four-year colleges and universities.  

 

​In the coming year, we hope to use our resources to further our reach and build new relationships with community and corporate partners, as we all have a vested interest in the success of those impacted by the work that we do.  We also hope to use social media tools and other resources to showcase what we do, both socially and in the communities that we serve.  While the 2015-2016 fraternal year will present new challenges and opportunities, we are confident that we will work together to meet each of them successfully.  We hope that you will join us.
