The Opelousas Alumni Chapter mourns the passing of our dear brother, Dr. Raymond Lockett, a Spring 1954 initiate of the Alpha Sigma Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and a charter member of the Opelousas Alumni Chapter.  Brother Lockett was a committed brother, having been active every year since his initiation into the fraternity.

He was the former chair of the History Department at Southern University & A&M College and held a number of accolades in his fraternal, civic, and professional life.  Kappa was dear to him.
